Interior view from the floor (diaphragm) below the tank, looking up towards the bottom of the tank. Board marks left by formwork are visible in the tank floor. It can be seen that the central column has been formed of Monier pipe sections. (These contain a reinforcing cage and concrete filling.) At the top of the column is a solid, flared transition. At top right of the photograph can be seen part of the pipe outlet.
