The shaft appears to be complete, and there is a suggestion of formwork starting to cantilever out to receive the floor of the tank. A ring of formwork panels is still in place around the top of the shaft. The system of formwork used appears to be that seen in the photo of work at the Mont Park Silo. The arrangement for hoisting materials up the side of the shaft within a braced framework is much more elaborate and safer than that seen at Mildura.
