John Monash: Engineering enterprise prior to WW1.

Bairnsdale Service Reservoir. 1906.

Large-diameter cylindrical reinforced concrete tank seated at ground level. The wall was built up in stages and the joins between the 'lifts' are evident. There is considerable staining due to efflorescence.
